How To Dress For Lunar New Year

We don’t know about you but Rotaro HQ are super excited for Lunar New Year on the 12th Feb. A festival that celebrates the new lunar cycle and fresh starts, it’s something we’re ready to embrace. So, whether you’re celebrating Chinese New Year, Spring Festival, Seollal or Tết - to name a few - Rotaro is here to help you bring in the new year in style.

RED

The scarlet hue symbolises happiness, passion and luck and is quintessential to Chinese New Year. If it’s your zodiac year, then it’s also your lucky colour so if we were you, we’d take a head-to-toe approach and rinse the chance of good fortune to the max. Otherwise, use accessories to inject just a touch of luck into your edit.

FLORALS

Spring Festival takes the classic “florals for spring? Groundbreaking” meme to new levels. With coloured blooms having different meanings across Asia, the chance to manifest what you want from the new year through your outfit is here. Opt for yellow apricot flowers that symbolise wealth or pink peach blossoms that are thought to bring love, joy and happiness.
