Waste not, want everything. Step stylishly and sustainably with us into the future of fashion at our first ever pop-up shop opening June 14th! We’ve curated a zero-waste experience for the curious and upcycle-conscious to connect with our brand on a new level. Here’s a word from our founders on why they’ve thoughtfully created this space and all the details you need to know before you go:
From the Founders
Georgie: I want our community to feel our brand. I love creating visual worlds and this shop is a physical manifestation of my dreams for Rotaro. It’s an educational, inspirational, and collaborative space and a place be frivolous, playful, and explore new brands while staying sustainable.
Brooke: There is a shift in consumer behaviour and in business models to integrate sustainability without sacrificing profitability, and we’re committing in every way to being zero-waste. Nothing in our store goes to the landfill and that’s how we can plan to continue to contribute to this circulatory model.
Georgie: We’re creating the future of fashion and the retail world where everything is more considered and slow.
Brooke: We want people to feel optimistic about the future and empowered to make simple changes. We have this saying, “You don’t need to own your wardrobe to be known for your wardrobe.”
Georgie: Maybe you wouldn’t buy a gold disco suit…but you can wear it for one night and it can be completely transformative!
The space: Our shop is popping up and off for 2 months this summer at 45 Carnaby Street. Our space is freshly designed for self-exploration, play and creative collaboration.
The fashion: Our racks will be stocked with the best and brightest brands to rent, including store-only exclusive pieces from designers like Rixo, Ganni, House of Sunny, Stand Studio, Vampires Wife, Zimmerman, Jacquemus, Cecilie Bahnsen, Stine Goya, and more.
The art: Our walls will be lined with rotating exhibitions of shoppable art by emerging artists via the accessible art platform Partnership Editions.
The energy: Mark your calendars for a variety of fun and future-forward workshops, panels, and events led by thought leaders committed to a more circular economy. More details and calendar to follow.
The promise: From our biodegradable and recycled custom packaging, to our dried flower installations, our shop is 100% landfill free and environmentally friendly.
The fine print: Customers will be able to rent in store and take items away on the same day or try on outfits and reserve for a future date. Our store is equipped with smart screens, where you can browse the full Rotaro offering online and have it delivered to your door. Rentals start from £14-£70 for 4 days.
Store opening times:
Mon, Tues, Weds, Fri, Sat: 11-7pm
See you there! x
