"Don't think about making women fit the world—think about making the world fit women." – Gloria Steinem
In honour of International Women’s Day, we are welcoming 3 new female-led brands to Rotaro that are set to radicalise our rental roster this spring. We celebrate women with vision, and each of these brands have a unique femme-de-force at their helm who is slicing up tired trends and making something entirely new. As the great Gloria so eloquently put, it’s time we make our own world (and wardrobe.) If you’re looking for inspiration in the form of a fierce female today, look no further than these founders who follow their creative instincts and unique voice. We have a feeling their collections are destined for your doorstep.
Anouki Areshidzo of Anouki
In some circles she’s known as the “The New First Lady of Tbilisi,” but to us, she simply makes cool clothes we want to wear everywhere.
Her namesake brand, ANOUKI, is recognised for its chic collection of modern essentials and unexpected mix of patterns and fabrics. Both the name of her brand and its roots are tied to her strong sense of self and heritage, with each of its 4 seasonal collections produced in her home country, Tbilisi, Georgia.
If the brand story sounds exotic and exciting to you, just wait until you try it on.
Anouki coming to Rotaro soon...
Tola Adeagbo of Florian London
We’re all going to heaven in a handbag thanks to Tola Adeagbo.
Tola is the founder and luminary behind Florian London, the brand that has been taking the fashion world by the hand since its coveted win at the much-celebrated International handbag awards in 2014.
Her contemporary bags have the makings of instant cult-classics, and Tola herself is quickly making a notable social impact with her commitment to honouring diverse women worldwide and producing her handbags ethically. We’ll have one of each, please.
Florian Bags available to rent from the 15th of March...
Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen of Rotate Birger Christensen
If you’re looking for a silhouette that will turn some heads this spring (once we’re allowed out in the great, wild open that is,) look no further than our new arrivals by this daring Danish duo.
Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen are known for their Scandi-chic party dresses, luxe fabrics, uncommon patterns, all of which you’ll find in spades with their latest brand evolution, ROTATE.
These two met serendipitously at a fashion magazine before founding Birger Christensen, and we’re so glad they did. Beautiful things come from the chance meeting of two brilliant female minds.
Lots more Rotate coming soon..
Wishing you and all of the iconic women in your life a happy International Women’s Day.
